Frequently Asked Questions

Filter by
Are EGOHOME mattresses good for side sleepers?

Yes, most EGOHOME mattresses provide excellent pressure relief for side sleeping. Their softer all-foam and hybrid options cushion shoulders and hips very well. Firmer EGOHOME beds may be uncomfortable for strict side sleepers.

Do EGOHOME mattresses sleep hot?

Most EGOHOME mattresses sleep cooler than average for all-foam beds thanks to their gel-infused foams, breathable covers, and airflow designs. However, some lightweight sleepers still find the all-foam options retain some heat. The EGOHOME hybrid models offer the most cooling and airflow.

How do I return an opened mattress?

We offer a 100-night trial. To start the return process, simply fill out our Trial Questionnaire. Once your request is approved, we will arrange for a team to pick up the mattress from your home. After the mattress is collected, your refund will be processed, though a mattress processing fee will be deducted from the refund. For more details, please visit our Trial page.

What certifications do EGOHOME mattresses have?

EGOHOME mattresses are certified by CertiPUR-US®, meaning they’re free from harmful chemicals like formaldehyde and heavy metals. They’re also OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring the fabric is tested for safety and skin-friendliness. Rest easy knowing your mattress is safe for your health and the environment!

What should I do if my mattress gets wet?

If your mattress gets wet, quickly blot the area with a clean, dry towel to absorb as much moisture as possible. Then, allow it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated space. If it doesn't dry quickly, consider using a fan or a dehumidifier to prevent mold and mildew.

How do I know if my mattress needs to be replaced?

If you notice significant sagging, lumps, or discomfort while sleeping, it may be time to replace your mattress. Most mattresses have a lifespan of about 7-10 years, but factors like usage and care can affect this. If it's time for you to replace your mattress, buy an EGOHOME mattress with confidence - we offer a 100-Night home trial!

Can I flip an EGOHOME mattress?

EGOHOME recommends rotating their mattresses head-to-toe every 3-6 months, but you should not flip them over. The mattresses have a distinct comfort layer on top that is not designed to be on the bottom.

Do EGOHOME mattresses off-gas?

Like many foam mattresses, EGOHOME beds may have an initial odor from off-gassing. Letting the mattress air out in a ventilated room for a few days before use can help minimize the smell. The odors are not harmful but may be bothersome to some.

How long do EGOHOME mattresses last?

EGOHOME mattresses are expected to last for 6-8 years with proper care. Rotating the mattress regularly and using a mattress protector can extend its lifespan. Heavier individuals may get slightly less than average use out of the mattresses.

Are the EGOHOME Mattresses good for a heavy person?

Yes, EGOHOME Mattresses are perfect for a heavy person. In fact, EGOHOME line offers mattresses for all shapes and sizes! All of our mattresses provide incredible pressure relief and support.
In addition, our sleep blog column also has a related mattress buying guide.

Is there a shipping cost associated with returning a mattress?

We offer free delivery and returns across the continental U.S. However, it's important to remember that if you decide to return items without contacting us first, we may have to decline the return and won't be able to cover any shipping costs incurred. For customers participating in our 100-night trial, there is a $49 mattress processing fee. We're here to help, so please reach out to us in advance to ensure a smooth return process.

How soon can I start sleeping on my EGOHOME mattress?

A newly manufactured mattress may have a foam odor, particularly upon opening the packaging. This smell is non-harmful and should dissipate after a few days of being unpacked and aired out. Therefore, we recommend unpacking the mattress in a well-ventilated area and allowing it to ventilate for approximately 48 hours before use.

Additionally, it is important to note that the mattress requires at least 24 to 48 hours to fully expand to its intended size. Once it has reached its maximum size, it will regain its original softness.

How do I clean and care for my mattress?

We recommend following the specific care instructions detailed on your EGOHOME Manufacturer Warranty card included with every purchase. If you have misplaced your warranty card, please get in touch with us by email at support@egohome.com

What should I do if I'm not satisfied with the mattress?

We completely understand that finding the perfect mattress takes time, and that's why we provide you with ample time to ensure your complete satisfaction. We offer a 100 night free trial, if after 21 days you find that the mattress is not right for you, don't worry! Just reach out to us via support@egohome.com, and we'll assist you with the next steps.

Are your mattresses good for people with allergies?

Yes, our mattresses are made with hypoallergenic materials designed to reduce allergens and provide a healthier sleeping environment. Copper infused foam (the EGOHOME Black Series) also helps to inhibit bacteria and odors, making it a great choice for allergy sufferers.

What People Say

Real reviews from verified customers

Best Sleep I have Had

I have been sleeping on my Ego mattress for 4 nights now and it is the best most comfortable sleep I have gotten in a long time. It took a good 24 hours to "poof" all the way back up but once it did it is amazing.

No more back pain

Great mattress. No more night sweats. A++++ Now I sleep better woke up ready for the day to come . EGO Hybrid 14” the best way to go

A Great Find for Side Sleepers

I'm a side sleeper and always struggled with shoulder pressure. This one cushions my joints perfectly. It feels plush on the surface but has enough resistance underneath so I don't sink too deep. After years of shoulder pain, I finally wake up without stiffness.

Love it!

This is the best mattress I’ve ever bought. I absolutely love it! I’m staying cooler throughout the night. The Firmness is great too. 10/10 recommend.
