Memory foam, scientifically known as slow rebound foam, is a type of soft polyurethane foam. This foam contains open-structured molecules that can move under external forces, spreading the force to fit the entire contact surface. A newly manufactured mattress may have a foam odor, particularly upon opening the packaging. This smell is non-harmful and should dissipate after a few days of being unpacked and aired out. Therefore, we recommend unpacking the mattress in a well-ventilated area and allowing it to ventilate for approximately 48 hours before use.

Additionally, it is important to note that the mattress requires at least 24 to 48 hours to fully expand to its intended size. Once it has reached its maximum size, it will regain its original softness.

We do not use latex in our products. Instead, EGO has produced a proprietary latex-like material called AdaptiFoam that is safe for those with latex allergies or sensitivities.
